I have always wanted
to create unique beauty from wood by combining
the craftsmanship of the past with today’s tools
and techniques.
I have been working with
wood for over 35 years and have come to appreciate
and understand its range of beauty, warmth, color
and complexity - from classic American species to
the vivid contrasts and durability of sustainably-grown
Santos Mahogany, Brazilian Cherry and Mesquite.
At French Brothers Custom
Furniture, we work with these and many more woods
from around the globe. But our domestic mainstays
are still my favorites: Northern Red Oak,
Cherry, Maple and Walnut. They are the foundation
woods into which we incorporate our inlays.
I am passionate about wood!
I never tire of the work we produce because such
care is taken to choose grain and color to enhance
the overall piece.
Each finished design is
a marvel of sophisticated design and subtle color.
Our extensive collection of borders, medallions
and motifs allows us to create work as unique as
the client for whom we make the piece.
